Privacy notice

Whisora is not open yet. The only thing this site deliberately collects is an email address, if you ask to be told when it opens. Like any website, it also unavoidably processes technical information such as IP addresses and request metadata in order to be served at all — see below. This notice describes exactly that and nothing more. It will be updated before Whisora becomes publicly available.

What is collected, and why
Your email address, and the time you submitted it. That is the whole record. It is used for one purpose: to send you a single message when early access opens. It will not be used for newsletters, marketing about anything else, or shared or sold to anyone.
Legal basis
Consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You give it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected] — that also deletes the record, because the record has no other purpose.
Who else can see it
Two service providers process the data on Whisora's behalf:

Google (Firebase) stores the address. The database is located in
Frankfurt, Germany (
europe-west3). - Cloudflare serves and protects this website. As part of that it processes technical information about every visit — including your IP address and request metadata — for security, abuse prevention and performance. This happens whether or not you use the form.
Both are US-headquartered companies operating EU infrastructure, and any transfer outside the EU relies on the safeguards in their own data-processing terms. No other third parties receive your email address.
How long it is kept
Until early access opens and you have been notified, or until you ask for it to be deleted — whichever comes first. After the notification round the list is deleted. If Whisora never launches, the list is deleted too.
No tracking
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party cookies on this site. Nothing is stored in your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction of it, deletion of it, restriction of how it is used, or a copy of it in portable form, and you can object to its use. Email [email protected] and you will get a response without undue delay and within one month.
If you are unhappy with how a request is handled, you can complain to a data-protection authority. In Czechia that is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
